Wilkes Women's Lacrosse Drops Contest Against Scranton
WILKES-BARRE, PA - The Wilkes women's lacrosse team fell in a Landmark contest to Scranton on Wednesday night with a final score of 22-1.
The Royals recorded 12 unanswered goals in the first quarter and added three more in the second. Wilkes scored their lone goal of the game in the second quarter, with Brooklyn Pedana (Pittston, PA/Pittston Area) netting the goal for the Colonels and Taylor Sparks (Monroeville, NJ/Woodstown) picking up the assist.
Scranton added four more goals in the third and three more goals in the fourth quarter to round out the scoring for the game.
Wilkes recorded five total shots with four of them being on goal as well as three ground balls and won eight draw controls during the game. In goal, Brooklynn Donia (Sewell, NJ/Washington Township) totaled 13 saves throughout the game.
The Colonels will be on the road for their next game on Saturday, April 19 against Elizabethtown. The game is set to begin at 1 p.m.
