Wilkes Women's Tennis Defeated at Moravian 7-0
BETHLEHEM, PA – The Wilkes University women's tennis team fell 7-0 against host Moravian University Saturday afternoon at Timothy Breidegam Fieldhouse in Landmark Conference action.
Wilkes dropped to 6-5 overall and 1-2 in conference matches. Moravian improved to 12-3 overall and remained unbeaten at 6-0 in league play.
The rains forced the match to be played indoors where the Greyhound grabbed an early 1-0 lead sweeping all three doubles matches.
Moravian then won all six singles flights in straight sets on way to the conference victory.
Wilkes is back in action on the court Thursday when the Colonels host Lycoming College for a Landmark Conference match at 3:30 p.m. at the Ralston Athletic Complex.
