EDWARDSVILLE – The Wilkes University women's tennis team opened its 2025 fall dual campaign with a 6-1 defeat against visiting Bryn Mawr College Friday afternoon at the Ralston Athletic Complex.
 
The Colonels lone singles win and team point came at No. 1 where first year Ana Savkovic (Belgrade, Serbia/The Hoosac School) took her match in straight sets 6-2, 6-1.
 
The team of Savkovic and Julia Spaeth (Hamburg, NY/Hamburg Area) won the Colonels lone doubles flight 6-3 at No. 1.
 
Wilkes returns to action tomorrow (Saturday) when the Colonels compete at the Lebanon Valley Dutchmen Invitational along with the men's squad at 9:00 a.m. in Annville, Pa.
