Wilkes Men's Lacrosse Selected Ninth in 2026 Landmark Preseason Coaches' Poll
 
TOWSON, Md. – The Wilkes University men's lacrosse team has been picked ninth in the 2026 Landmark Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll, as announced by the conference office Thursday afternoon.

Wilkes enters the season under new leadership in the form of first-year head coach Jordan Drumheller. In 2025, the team finished 4-13 overall with a 1-8 record in Landmark play.

The defending conference champion University of Scranton were the unanimous favorites to repeat, garnering all nine possible first place votes for a total of 81 points. Elizabethtown College was selected second on 72 points with one first place vote, with Catholic University placed third on 64 points.

Susquehanna University was picked fourth on 51 points, just one point ahead of fifth-place Drew University. Moravian University (45 points), Goucher College (36 points), and Lycoming College (21 points) finished the poll sixth through eighth respectively, with Wilkes ninth on 18 points. Juniata College rounded out the poll in tenth with 12 points.

Wilkes begins the 2026 season on Saturday, February 14th as they travel to face Delaware Valley University at 1:00 p.m. They open Landmark play on Saturday, March 21st as they host Juniata College at Schmidt Stadium at 12:00 p.m.
