LOUISVILLE, Ky.  – Wilkes University men's lacrosse first-year Anthony DiFrancesco (Nazareth, PA/Nazareth) has been selected to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Division III Team of the Week, as announced by the organization Tuesday night.

This is the first Team of the Week selection for DiFrancesco and the first in program history. This award comes just a day after the first-year attacker was named Landmark Conference Offensive Player of the Week.

DiFrancesco was the driving force of the Colonel offense in two wins last week, totaling 13 goals, two assists, 21 shots on goal, 12 ground balls, and five caused turnovers.

Against the Monarchs on Wednesday, the Nazareth, Pa. native tied a program record with seven goals in a single game, achieved previously by John Wink in 2019. DiFrancesco followed that performance with six more goals on Saturday against the Knights.

The Colonels return to action on Wednesday, March 18^th as they continue a five-game homestand against the Golden Wolves of Alvernia University at 7:00 p.m.
