WILKES-BARRE – The Wilkes University athletic department has announced the 2026-27 season schedule for the men's ice hockey team, continuing a series of releases for all of Wilkes' winter athletic programs.

After reaching the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) semifinals last season, the Colonels get set for a 25-game schedule with 14 hosted at the Toyota SportsPlex. Tyler Hynes leads the team in his eighth season as the Colonels' bench boss.

The season begins on Friday, October 30 as the Colonels travel to face Manhattanville University at 6:30 p.m. The first home game of the season comes the next day, as the team hosts Cortland at 7:10 p.m. MAC play begins on Friday, November 6 as the navy and gold host Alvernia at 3:00 p.m., before a MAC semifinal rematch at Stevenson on Nov. 7. The two-game road stand closes on Nov. 13 as the Colonels head to Hersheypark Arena to face Lebanon Valley College (time TBD).

The Colonels then begin a six-game homestand, starting on Nov. 14 against Misericordia University at 7:10 p.m. Next, the team hosts a rematch of the season-opener against Manhattanville on Nov. 17 before welcoming King's College to the SportsPlex for a 7:40 p.m. contest on Nov. 24. Non-conference play closes against Elmira College on Nov. 28, before the Colonels close the homestand against new program Albright College on December 4 (3:00 p.m.) and 5 (7:10 p.m.).

Six games at home give way to six-straight on the road in MAC play, starting with a pair at Misericordia University on Dec. 11-12, beginning at 6:30 p.m. and 7:10 p.m. respectively. Next, the Colonels close the season series with King's on January 15-16, before their first clashes with the reigning MAC champion Neumann University Knights on Jan. 22-23 at 7:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.

The first month of 2027 closes with a pair of home games against Stevenson on Jan. 29-30, with puck drop at 6:30 p.m. and 7:10 p.m. respectively. The final pair of road games comes on February 4-5 as the Colonels travel to Reading to face Alvernia University at 7:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., before closing the season with four-straight games at home to end the regular season.

Wilkes' season-ending homestand begins on Feb. 12-13 as the Colonels face Arcadia University at 3:00 p.m. and 7:10 p.m. respectively, before wrapping up the season series with Lebanon Valley on Feb. 19-20.

Wilkes will conclude its 2026-27 winter schedule series with women's ice hockey on Thursday.
