WILKES-BARRE – Wilkes University Associate Athletic Director for Compliance and Head Women's Soccer Coach John McNichol has been appointed to the NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championship Committee as announced by the association Wednesday.
 
McNichol, who enters his ninth year at Wilkes, was selected to his first NCAA championship committee which begins September 1, 2026, and continues through August 31, 2030.
 
"I am very excited to be chosen for the NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Committee," said McNichol . "I am really looking forward to working with the committee over the next four years," he added.
 
McNichol previously has served on multiple committees over his career including recently serving as chair of the Landmark Conference women's soccer coaches. He also has served on the NCAA Women's Soccer Regional Advisory Committee Mid-Atlantic Region, the NEAC Women's Soccer Committee Chair, and NEAC Men's and Women's Soccer Sportsmanship Subcommittee during his time at Penn College.
