WILKES-BARRE – D3football.com has named Wilkes University football punter Peter Zarafonitis (Staten Island, NY/New Dorp) to its Team of the Week for Sept. 10 to Sept. 12.

The recognition is Zarafonitis' first of his career, and he is the first Colonel to be named to the Team of the Week since defensive back Donell Mackey-Woodson in Week 6 of 2024.

Zarafonitis punted four times in the Colonels 28–8 victory over TCNJ. The junior averaged 45.3 yards per punt, including a 60-yard punt and a 52-yard punt that went out of bounds at the Lions three-yard line.
Zarafonitis and Wilkes return to action on Saturday, Sept. 19 at Muhlenberg College, with kick off set for 12:00 p.m.
