Mayor's Cup Called No Contest due to Weather
WILKES-BARRE - The 30th Annual Mayor's Cup game between Wilkes University and King's College has been called a no contest due to inclement weather at McCarthy Stadium on Thursday night.
Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) rules state that a game must be resumed two hours after the initial suspension, with the game suspended at the end of the first quarter.
A makeup date has not been determined.
Wilkes held a 7-0 lead before the suspension, as
Trey Dogmanits (Whitehall, PA/Whitehall) found
Daniel Pigga (Dunmore, PA/Dunmore) for a 28-yard strike. On the next drive, Wilkes recovered a fumble in the redzone to keep the Monarchs off the board.
