Serekeberhan comes to Wilkes from Drury University in Springfield, Missouri where he was nationally ranked player. He played singles from both the number one and two spot, as well as number one doubles. Drury was ranked number one in the nation in the 2007-08 season, and reached the semifinals at the NCAA Division 2 Championships in 2008.
While at Junior College, Serekeberhan was ranked number one in the nation in both singles and doubles. He won the individual national championship in singles and doubles in the spring of 2007.
This is his second year at Wilkes, and he will be assisting head coach Chris Leicht, who takes over a men’s and women’s team who both won conference championships a season ago. He will also be pursuing his MBA while at Wilkes.
