Box Score

Taryn Hallowell (Belvidere, N.J./Belvidere) continues to come up big for the Lady Colonels and against Misericordia she scored the game-winning goal to lift Wilkes to a 2-1 win over the Cougars on the campus of King's College.

The game was moved to King's turf field due to the abundance of rain in the area.

Hallowell's team-high 13th goal of the season came at the 76 minute mark off a pass from Kaitlin Vargo (Edison, N.J./Union Catholic), improving Wilkes to 8-10-1 overall and 4-3 in Freedom Conference play.

The win enables the Lady Colonels to control their own destiny with one regular season game left. Wilkes needs to defeat FDU-Florham Saturday in Madison, N.J. to have the opportunity to participate in the Freedom Conference Championship.

Wilkes dominated the Cougars offensively, amassing 18 total shots, 10 on goal while holding Misericordia to just three total shots. Elizabeth Lipovsky gave the Cougars the early lead with an unassisted goal at the 18 minute mark. Misericordia would hold the lead until Julissa Reed (Coal Township, Pa./Shamokin) tied the game up with less than eight minutes to play in the first half.
