The Wilkes University men's tennis team moves their overall record to 2-0 with a dominating 9-0 win over Misericordia University on Tuesday afternoon.
In singles competition,
Jeremy Nolt (Bloomsburg, Pa./Central Columbia) defeated Frank Huckaby 6-2, 6-0 at the No. 1 spot, while at No. 2,
Evan Katz (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial) beat Frank Nutt 6-2, 6-2.
Wes McCollum (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin) won at No. 3 singles against Matt Hopkins 6-0, 6-1 and
Chris Cozzillio (Harrisburg, Pa./Trinity) also garnered a victory at the No. 4 spot over Justin Muthler.
Kyle Ungvarsky (Horseheads, N.Y./Horseheads) won at the No. 5 spot, 6-1, 6-1, while
Jon Rohrbach (Muncy, Pa./Muncy) rounded out the sweep at No. 6 singles, 6-0. 6-1.
In doubles play, the duo of Cozzillio and Ungvarsky were victorious at No. 1, Katz and Nolt won at the No. 2 spot, while Rohrbach and McCollum finished with a win at No. 3.
Wilkes continues fall action on October 14 when they host PSU-Harrisburg at 3:30 p.m.
