Okoh Named Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week
 

TOWSON, Md. - Wilkes men's tennis junior Otarhe Okoh (Shakopee, MN/Shakopee) was recognized as Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week after his outstanding performance at the King's Tournament. 

It is the first weekly honor of Okoh's collegiate career, and he is the first Wilkes player to be named Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week this season. 

Okoh went 3-0 in his singles performance, earning him the title of No. 2 singles champion. He defeated Penn College's Avery Hawk (6-1, 6-3), then Marywood's Alex Corcoran (6-2, 6-3), and then Muhlenberg's Ryan Hart (7-6 (3), 4-6, 10-5) in the finals.  

Not only did he win his matches in a dominant fashion in singles, but he also made it to the finals with his doubles partner Xavier Bleiler (Mountain Top, PA/MMI Prep). 

The Colonels return to action Saturday, September 19 against Marywood University. The match will begin at 1 p.m. respectively.
