Box Score
UNION, N.J. – Kean scored two goals in 40 seconds midway through the first half and added another in the second as it took a 3-0 win over the Wilkes University women's soccer team.
The Lady Colonels were unable to capitalize on their offensive possessions as they had just two total shots, including one on goal. On the flip side, Kean seemed to shoot at will at goal keeper
Brooke Keister (Penns Creek, Pa./Midd-West), firing off 19 attempts, including 10 on goal.
Kean's Danielle Esposito scored at the 37:04 mark with an assist from Jenna Godwin and 40 seconds later, Carly Seidel found the back of the net to give it a quick 2-0 lead. The Cougars would hold a 2-0 lead at the half.
With less than eight minutes to play, Samantha Ciccone iced the game with an unassisted goal to give the Cougars their fifth win of the season.
The Lady Colonels fell to 4-5-2 on the year and will return to action Saturday when they face Manhattanville in Purchase, N.Y.
