Box Score

WILKES-BARRE – Goalkeeper Sam Rohn (Levittown, Neshaminy) recorded her third straight shutout as Wilkes University played to its second straight scoreless tie in a Tuesday night game with cross-town rival King's College. The tie, along with a Misericordia University loss puts the Lady Colonels in sole possession of third place in the Freedom Conference as they fight for a postseason berth.

The Lady Colonels controlled the ball offensively for most of the game, getting off 16 total shots, including five combined in both overtime periods. Wilkes had a great chance to score in regulation at the 78th minute, but a header from Megan Clementson (Frederick, MD, Tuscarora) off a corner kick from Lyndsay Ellis (Shavertown, Dallas) sailed high over the cross bar.

The shutout is Rohn's six of the season, as she's gone 312:13 without allowing a goal.

The Lady Colonels (6-8-2, 2-1-2) have three more games to finish up the regular season, including two against Freedom Conference opponents Manhattanville and Misericordia. Both of those schools are tied for the fourth spot in the league.
