WILKES-BARRE – Marissa Harrison (Shavertown, Lake-Lehman) combined for 24 kills and Allie Kelleher (Sayre, Athens Area) had 38 total digs as Wilkes University split volleyball tri-matches on Saturday, beating Penn State Harrisburg 3-0 before losing to Moravian College in four sets on Saturday afternoon.

The Lady Colonels eased through their first match against the Nittany Lions, 25-14, 25-19 and 25-13. Harrison finished with 11 kills on 26 total attacks, a hitting percentage of .346. Kelleher came up with 14 digs while Erin Nothstein (Mertztown, Brandywine Heights) had 12. Alex Zero (Moscow, North Pocono) and Kate McGurk (Swarthmore, Ridley) dished out a combined 25 assists while Meaghan Williams (Hamlin, Western Wayne) had four solo blocks.

Wilkes had to rebound from an early 25-20 loss to Moravian in game one, winning easily 25-15 in game two. The Greyhounds controlled the final two games, however, winning 25-18 and 25-22.

Harrison finished with a double-double, getting 13 kills on 47 total attacks while also collecting 18 digs. Kelleher and Nothstein each had 24 digs defensively for the Lady Colonels while McGurk added 19. Zero and McGurk combined for 29 assists against the Greyhounds while Williams had five totals blocks.
The Lady Colonels end their season with a 10-20 overall record, 3-4 in the Freedom Conference, just outside of playoff contention.

Harrison, who earlier this year broke the school mark for all-time kills, finished the season with 361 and her career with 1,570. Kelleher, Wilkes all-time leader in career digs, finishes her career with 1,883 and her 2010 season with 481. Williams, the third Wilkes senior, led the team with 79 total blocks this season.
