Wilkes Women's Volleyball Announces 2026 Schedule
 
WILKES-BARRE – The Wilkes University athletic department has announced the 2026 schedule for the Wilkes Women's Volleyball team on Tuesday, continuing a series of schedule releases for all fall sports teams.

Wilkes begins a new era under head coach Zach Shay '24 in 2026, as he begins his first season as head coach. The Colonels finished last season 15-16 overall with a 2-7 mark in Landmark play.

The Shay era begins on September 1, as the Colonels open the season at the Marts Center hosting Albright College at 7:00 p.m. A three-match road trip follows, as Wilkes faces FDU-Florham on Sept. 3 (7:00 p.m.), and then heads to Delaware Valley University for the year's first tri-match on Sept. 5 against the Aggies and Cedar Crest College, beginning at 11:00 a.m.

The navy and gold return home to face Keystone College on Sept. 8 and Lancaster Bible College on Sept. 10, with both games starting at 7:00 p.m. The team then begins their longest road trip of the year, playing six consecutive matches away from home. It begins with a trek to Rutgers-Newark for a match against the Scarlet Raiders on Sept. 15 before heading to face Marywood University on Sept. 17, with both games scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. as well. The second tri-match of the year falls on Sept. 19, as the Colonels travel to the Big Apple to face John Jay College (11:00 a.m.) and Cairn University (1:00 p.m.). The stretch closes with two single matches not far from home, as the Colonels face Penn State Hazleton on Sept. 21 (7:00 p.m.) and Misericordia University on Sept. 23 (7:00 p.m.).

Wilkes finally returns to the Marts Center with its first home tri of the year, welcoming The City College of New York and Penn State Abington to Wilkes-Barre on Sept. 26, beginning at 11:00 a.m. The Colonels then host Gwynedd Mercy University on Sept. 30 for a 7:00 p.m. contest, before beginning Landmark Conference play on the road at the University of Scranton on October 2 at 6:00 p.m.

Conference play continues on Oct. 3 with a tri-match at Drew University, as the navy and gold face the Rangers and Stevens at 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. Wilkes then hosts Goucher College on Oct. 9 at 7:00 p.m. before a home tri with Catholic University and Hunter College on Oct. 10, with times to be determined. The final road trip begins on Oct. 13, when the Colonels travel to face Moravian University at 7:00 p.m., followed by a Friday night fight with Susquehanna University on Oct. 16. The team closes the road schedule with a tri-match hosted by Elizabethtown College, as they face the Blue Jays and Alvernia University at 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. respectively.

The Colonels close the season with three home matches, beginning with their final non-conference tilt against Rutgers-Camden on Saturday, Oct. 24. The Warriors of Lycoming College then come to the Marts Center for a 7:00 p.m. clash on Oct. 30, before the season finale against Juniata College on Oct. 31 at noon.
