ALLENTOWN - Evan Katz (Ellicott City, MD, Centennial) picked up a win in first singles and the Colonels posted six more victories as the Wilkes University men's tennis team competed at the Muhlenberg Fall Classic at Muhlenberg College in Allentown. 

Katz defeated Muhlenberg's Wayne Mitchel 6-3, 6-4, while Wes McCollum (Harrisburg, Central Dauphin) got a shutout win over Drew Shreter from Moravian, 6-0, 6-0, before beating Jason Teitelbaum of Muhlenberg 8-0 for the championship.

Both also got doubles victories, as Katz teamed with Clarke Freeman (York, Central York) for 8-2 and 8-3 wins at first doubles and McCollum paired with Jon Rohrbach (Muncy, Muncy) for an 8-2 win at third doubles, before losing 8-5 in the championship match.

The Colonels will play in their last tournament before the MAC individual tournament next weekend at Bloomsburg University.
