PONOMA, NJ – The Wilkes University women's soccer team was outshot 15-2 and allowed four second half goals in a 5-0 loss to Rowan in Ponoma, N.J. on Sunday, making them 1-2 on the season.

Throughout the contest, only Taryn Hallowell (Belvidere, NJ, Belvidere) and Maura Kelly (Hummelstown, Lower Dauphin) were able to get off a shot against the Profs. Meanwhile, Rowan collected a late first half goal with only three seconds left in the period. In the second half, the Profs continued their assault, scoring a quick goal and then adding three more within a 13 minutes period late in the game.

With the loss the Lady Colonels fall to 1-2, including 0-2 on the weekend.

Wilkes will have a chance to turn things around when they head to Scranton on Wednesday, Sept. 8 to take on the University of Scranton in non-conference action. That game will begin at 7:00 p.m.
