WILKES WOMEN'S SOCCER UPENDED 1-0 AT ROWAN

GLASSBORO, NJ – Rowan's Erika Suhl scored the game-winner at the 46:22 mark of the second half to propel host Rowan University to a 1-0 win over Wilkes University Wednesday night in non-conference women's soccer action.

Wilkes falls to 7-3-1 overall while Rowan improves to 7-2 on the year.

Suhl took a cross from Nina Fragoso in front of the box 1:22 into the second half breaking a scoreless first half for Rowan. It proved to be the difference as the Lady Colonels were unable to find the back of the net in the contest.

Rowan held an 11-2 shot advantage throughout, while Wilkes garnered three corner kicks to Rowan's two attempts.

Wilkes keeper Kate Mahoney (Kingston, NH/Central Catholic) finished with four saves, while Maria Dorris made one stop in net for Rowan to preserve the shutout.

Wilkes returns to the field Saturday with a road Freedom test at FDU-Florham at 11:00 a.m. in Madison, NJ.
