WILKES MEN'S TENNIS SCORES 9-0 WIN OVER SUSQUEHANNA TO END SPRING BREAK TRIP

HILTON HEAD, SC – The Wilkes University men's tennis team swept all three doubles matches then took all six singles flights on way to a 9-0 win over Susquehanna University Friday morning on the final day of its spring break trip in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.

Wilkes moves to 4-1 on the year and will return to Wilkes-Barre on Saturday.

The Colonels wasted little time taking the match from the Crusaders capturing all three doubles matches before grabbing all six singles flights in straight sets. Steven Wilson (Bronx, NY/JFK), Alex Makos (Mansfield, PA/Mansfield), Zack Telljohann (Atlanta, GA/Westminster), Clarke Freeman (York, PA/Central York), Dakkota Deem (Montgomery, PA/Montgomery), and Brandon Helfrich (Bloomsburg, PA/Central Columbia) each recorded singles wins for Wilkes.

The Colonels will remain idle until March 20 when they travel to Bloomsburg, Pa. for a matchup with Division II power Bloomsburg University at 3:30 p.m.
