WILKES MEN'S TENNIS ROLLS PAST FDU, 9-0

EDWARDSVILLE – The Wilkes University men's tennis team posted a 9-0 win over visiting FDU-Florham Saturday afternoon in both teams' Freedom finale.

Wilkes improves to 12-3 overall and concludes league play a perfect 5-0. The Colonels will enter next week's Freedom Conference Tournament as the top seed.

Wilkes took all three doubles flights before posting victories in all six singles matches. Alex Makos (Mansfield, PA/Mansfield), Steven Wilson (Bronx, NY/JFK), Zack Telljohann (Atlanta, GA/Westminster), Clarke Freeman (York, PA/Central York), Dakkota Deem (Montgomery, PA/Montgomery), and Brandon Helfrich (Bloomsburg, PA/Central Columbia) were all straight set singles winners for the Colonels.

Wilkes will host the number four seed at the Ralston Athletic Complex on Wednesday at a time to be announced.
