WILKES WOMEN'S SOCCER UPENDS MUHLENBERG 2-1 IN SEASON OPENER

MUHLENBERG, PA – Alicia Roberts (Hatboro, PA/Upper Moreland) and Katie Hughes (New Tripoli, PA/Northwestern Lehigh) scored one goal each to lead visiting Wilkes University to a 2-1 win over Muhlenberg College Friday night in non-conference women's soccer action.

With the win Wilkes moves to 1-0 on the young season.

Roberts scored early in the first half off an assist from Katie Fissel. Hughes found the back of the net late and the Wilkes defense held off a late Mules rally to post the 2-1 victory.

Wilkes will have a quick turnaround facing Moravian College tomorrow at 4:00 p.m
