LADY COLONELS WOMEN'S SOCCER DRAW 0-0 AT DELAWARE VALLEY

DOYLESTOWN, PA – After 110 minutes of scoreless soccer the Lady Colonels and Aggies settled for a 0-0 draw. With the draw Wilkes overall record stands at 7-4-3 and 2-0-1 in Freedom Conference play. Delaware Valley's overall record is 4-9-2 and 1-1-1 in the Freedom Conference.

Wilkes had a total of 31 shots, 16 of which were on goal; however, they were not able to push one across the line against the Aggies goalkeeper Julie Burnell. The Lady Colonels were on the unfortunate end of two offside infractions that negated goals in the 39^th and 104^th minute.

The Lady Colonels had another great opportunity with 27:51 remaining in regulation when Katie Hughes (New Tripoli, PA/Northwestern Lehigh) was denied on a breakaway by Burnell. Her shot from 15 yards was turned away by the left hand of the Aggie keeper.

The Wilkes defense held the Aggies to zero shots, with Kate Mahoney (Kingston, NH/Central Catholic) having to make no saves in goal.

The Lady Colonels return to Freedom Conference play when they hit the road for DeSales University on Saturday. Kick-off is slated for 3:00 p.m.
