WILKES MEN'S TENNIS ADVANCES TO FREEDOM FINAL WITH 5-0 WIN OVER ARCADIA

EDWARDSVILLE – The top seeded Wilkes University men's tennis team made short work of visiting fourth seed Arcadia University posting a 5-0 sweep of the Knights in the Freedom Conference semifinals Tuesday afternoon at the Ralston Athletic Complex.

Wilkes moves to 14-3 overall and advances to their sixth straight Freedom Conference finals on Saturday. The Colonels will face the winner of second seeded King's College and third seeded FDU-Florham at 2:00 p.m. at the Ralston Athletic Complex.

Wilkes opened with three doubles wins allowing just two games throughout the three matches. Alex Makos (Mansfield, PA/Mansfield) collect Wilkes' fourth victory with a straight set 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 2. Brendon Blachowksi was the other Colonel singles winner collecting a 6-0, 6-0 decision at No. 6.
