COLONELS MEN'S TENNIS FALLS 5-0 AGAINST CASE WESTERN RESERVE IN NCAA SECOND ROUND

GAMBIER, OH – The Wilkes University men's tennis team saw its run in the 2013 NCAA Tournament come to an end falling 5-0 to 14^th ranked Case Western Reserve University Saturday morning at the campus of Kenyon College.

Case Western Reserve improves to 22-6 on the year and will face the winner of Franciscan University (Pa.) and host Kenyon College on Sunday at 12:00 p.m. Wilkes ends its season at 16-4.

The Spartans took 24 of 26 games in doubles competition as the team of Brendon Blachowski (Newtown, PA /Council Rock North) and Clarke Freeman (York, PA/Central York) managed to take two games at No. 3 pairs.

Will Drougas posted a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 2 singles over Alex Makos (Mansfield, PA/Mansfield) and Derek Reinbold sealed the match with a straight set 6-0, 6-0 victory over Connor Peckham (Warminster, PA/Central Bucks East) at No. 5.

Wilkes concludes its 2012-13 season with a 16-4 overall mark and a sixth consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament.
