BAPTIST BIBLE EDWARDSVILLE, PA – The Wilkes University women's soccer team scored six first half goals in route to a 7-0 victory over Baptist Bible College on Monday afternoon. With the win the Lady Colonels increased their record to 4-1-1 while the Lady Defenders saw their record drop to 1-3. Wilkes wasted little time getting on the scoreboard as Freshman Samantha Hockley (Middletown, PA/Lower Dauphin) scored the opening goal of the game off an assist from Courtney Krasnomowitz (Hamburg, NJ/Wallkill Valley) 2:12 into the match. Katie Cocchi (Morris Plains, NJ/Parsipany Hills) scored four minutes later off of a left-footed shot from just outside the eighteen-yard box. Krasnomowitz was credited with the assist on the second goal 6:23 into the match. Sarah Wasley (Whitehall, PA/Whitehall) upped the lead to three when she scored an unassisted goal in the 12th minute of the match. Hockley added her second goal of the game in the 16th minute. Dianna Connor (Effort, PA/Pleasant Valley) got into the scoring action in the 25th minute and Ashley Graham (New Hampton, NY/Minisink Valley) finished the Lady Colonels scoring in the first half with a goal in the 36th minute after a well played cross from Connor. Alicia Roberts (Hatboro, PA/Upper Moreland) scored the final goal of the match in the 87th minute off of a well struck cross from Sara Gilbert (Phoenixville, PA/Phoenixville). The Lady Colonels return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Gwynedd-Mercy College for a non-conference matchup starting at 7:00 P.M. Print Friendly Version
