MARY COLLEGE, 3-1 WASHINGTON, D.C. – Sophomore Grace Fazzi (Wilkes-Barre, PA/Coughlin) scored one goal and added an assist to lead the Wilkes University women's soccer team to a 3-1 win over Mt. St. Mary College Sunday afternoon to conclude play at the Catholic University D.C. Classic tournament. Wilkes moves to 3-1 overall following the win while Mt. St. Mary drops to 0-3 on the year. Samantha Hockley (Middletown, PA/Lower Dauphin) put Wilkes on the board before the end of the first half knocking home a rebound in front of the box with 33:13 on the clock. Alicia Roberts (Hatboro, PA/Upper Moreland) extended the Lady Colonel lead to 2-0 early in the second frame when she scored off a cross from Fazzi down the right flank. Fazzi then added her strike of the game just two minutes later at the 52:16 mark dribbling down the middle of the field and finishing to the top right corner of the goal. Kate Mahoney (Kingston, NH/Central Catholic) recorded the victory in net for Wilkes making five saves allowing the one goal in all 90 minutes.
