WILKES MEN'S TENNIS PREPS FOR MAC INDIVIDUAL TOURNAMENT WITH 7-2 WIN OVER ONEONTA

EDWARDSVILLE – The Wilkes University men's tennis team prepped for the MAC Individual Tournament Thursday posting a 7-2 victory over visiting SUNY Oneonta at the Ralston Athletic Complex.

Wilkes improves to 2-0 in the fall dual match season.

Wilkes claimed straight set wins at No. 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 singles thanks to wins from Steven Wilson (Bronx, NY/JFK), Dominic Parfianowicz (Elmira, NY/Elmira Free Academy), Michael Kranz (Depew, NY/Lancaster Central), Adam Lefkandinos (Toms River, NJ/Toms River North) and Troy Haas (Huntington Station, NY/Walt Whitman).

After Onetona posted a win at No. 1 doubles, the Colonels responded with victories at No. 2 and 3 to seal the non-conference match. Wilson and Lefkandinos went 8-6 at No. 2 and Kranz and Brendon Blachowski (Newtown, PA /Council Rock North) scored an 8-1 win at No. 3.
