Pitcher Alysha Bixler (Williamstown, PA/Williams Valley) earned her first win on the season, and ended game one with a three-run homer to left center field, ending the game at 8-0 after six innings. Bixler finished with three RBIs and Kisela added two.  The eight runs were the most Wilkes has scored in any game this season, adding to their total of just 15 runs in the first ten games.  Wilkes started game two where game one left off, jumping out to a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the fourth. Bixler brought in a run with a double, accounting for the only RBI of game two.  Scranton responded striking back in the fifth inning with seven runs of their own. The rally started when Santarekku scored off of a bases-loaded walk, followed by a grand slam homerun from DeSarro to right center field. The Royals took their first lead of the evening at 5-3.  Scranton didn't stop there, as errors plagued the Wilkes defense to further themselves from a comeback. Two runs each in the fifth and seventh inning were scored by Scranton, extending their lead to 9-3. McHenry sealed the deal with her two-run homerun to center field, ending the game at 11-3.  Pitcher Meghan Lisela (0-5) suffered the loss in the circle for Wilkes in game two.  Wilkes plays DeSales on Wednesday at 3:00 pm at the Ralston Athletic Complex. Print Friendly Version
