Twelve From Wilkes Softball Earn 2025-26 Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete Honors
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Wilkes University softball team saw a dozen student-athletes named as the 2025-26 Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes as announced by the organization on Wednesday.
In addition, the Colonels earned team honors with a combined 3.53 grade point average.
Individuals who received scholar-athlete honors included Mia Butka (Scranton, PA/West Scranton), Lauren DeMarco (Merrick, NY/Sanford H. Calhoun), Taylor Ferrari (Gordon, PA/North Schuylkill), Julia Kapitula (Mount Olive, NJ/Mount Olive), Maddy Maloney (Scranton, PA/Lackawanna College), Dana Messner (Oley, PA/Oley Valley), Allyson Stafursky (Eynon, PA/Valley View), Tessa Stafursky (Eynon, PA/Valley View), Aveya Stauffer (Northumberland, PA/Shikellamy), Allison Sterner (Hawley, PA/Wallenpaupack Area), and Abby Williams (Wilkes-Barre, PA/Holy Redeemer).
The rankings and honors recognize the academic prowess of softball teams across the Association's membership categories. In total, 2,491 NCAA Division III athletes received honors by earning at least a 3.5 grade point average. NCAA Division I led all divisions with 2,637, while NCAA Division II had 1,869. Junior colleges and NAIA came in with 1,190 and 655 student-athletes respectively.
Team GPAs and scholar-athletes are submitted by member head coaches.
