WILKES-BARRE – Wilkes University softball head coach Casey Carpenter has announced the team's next youth camp, scheduled for Tuesday, July 7^th from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Ralston Athletic Complex.

The camp is open to girls ages 7-13 and will cost $75 per player. Campers will focus on skill development in all aspects of the game including hitting, base running, fielding, and throwing.
Emphasis will be placed on the fundamental aspects and proper mechanics of throwing, fielding, and hitting while also building confidence on the field and having fun.

The camp will be instructed by the Wilkes softball coaching staff and current student-athletes and campers will be split into groups based on age/skill level for safety purposes.

9:15 a.m. - Camp registration
9:30 a.m. - Introductions
9:40 a.m. – Warm-ups and throwing progressions
10:00 a.m. - 11:15 a.m. - Defensive skills and drills
11:15 a.m. - 11:35 a.m. - Break
11:35 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. - Offensive Drills and stations
12:30 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. - Small Game/ Wrap up
