WILKES MEN'S TENNIS BLANKS FDU-FLORHAM 9-0 TO STAY UNBEATEN

EDWARDSVILLE – The Wilkes University men's tennis team continued its unbeaten streak with a 9-0 victory over visiting FDU-Florham Wednesday afternoon at the Ralston Athletic Complex.

Wilkes improves to 9-0 overall and 2-0 in Freedom Conference matches this spring.

The Colonels swept all six singles flights with wins from Steven Wilson (Bronx, NY/JFK), Dominic Parfianowicz (Elmira, NY/Elmira Free Academy), Michael Kranz (Depew, NY/Lancaster Central), Adam Lefkandinos (Toms River, NJ/Toms River North), Troy Haas (Huntington Station, NY/Walt Whitman) and Brian Murray (Brooklyn, NY/Leon M. Goldstein). All six singles wins came in straight sets.

In doubles play, the Parfianowicz brothers claimed an 8-2 victory at No.1 followed by wins from Wilson/Makos (8-4) at No. 2 and Kranz/Blachowski (8-1) at No. 3.

Wilkes remains home Saturday hosting Eastern University at 12:00 p.m. before a matchup with Keystone College at 4:30 p.m. at the Ralston Athletic Complex.
