WILKES MEN'S TENNIS MOVES INTO FREEDOM FINALS WITH 6-0 VICTORY OVER STEVENSON

EDWARDSVILLE – The Wilkes University men's tennis team posted a 6-0 victory over Stevenson University Thursday afternoon in the semifinals of the Freedom Conference Tournament at the Ralston Athletic Complex. Wilkes advances to the Freedom finals Saturday for the seventh straight year.

Wilkes improves to 17-1 overall on the season and will play the winner of second seed King's College and fourth seed FDU-Florham Saturday at 10:00 a.m.

Wilkes went 3-0 in doubles play before capturing two singles flights to claim the match. Steven Wilson (Bronx, NY/JFK) posted a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 1 to move Wilkes to within one match of the win before Max Appello (Sparta, NJ/Sparta) and Adam Lefkandinos (Toms River, NJ/Toms River North) both finished their matches at the same time with straight set wins to propel Wilkes to the victory.
