Wilkes improves to 6-7 overall and 3-1 in Freedom games following the sweep, while King's drops to 2-10 on the year and 0-4 in league contests. King's took a 2-0 lead after two innings of play in game one before the Wilkes offense found its rhythm. The Colonels scored five runs in the third and six more in the fourth before plating three insurance runs in the fifth during a three-inning offensive tear. The five-run third was highlighted by a Ryan Herbst (East Islip, NY/St. John the Baptist) three-run double. Stephen Ruch (Dallas, PA/Holy Redeemer) provided the power at the plate in the six-run fourth with a two-run double off the left field wall. James Brown (Covington, PA/North Pocono) and Dan Pisanchyn (Clarks Summit, PA/Abington Heights) then added back-to-back home runs in the fifth to secure the conference victory for Wilkes. Jarret Clymer (Bethlehem, PA/Freedom), Pisanchyn and Joshua Slocum (Clarks Summit, PA/Abington Heights) each posted two hits for the Colonels. Quinn Kelly (Collegeville, PA/Perkiomen Valley) picked up his third win of the season going six innings scattering four hits allowing three runs. Forrest Jordan (Sullivan County, PA/Sullivan County) pitched the seventh allowing just one hits in a scoreless frame. Ruch began game two where he left off in game one belting a two-run bomb over the big blue monster in left to give the Colonels a 2-0 lead. Brown added a two-run single in the bottom of the second to up the Wilkes advantage to 4-0 after two innings of play. The Colonels put game two out of reach in the bottom of the fourth using a three-run home run from Pisanchyn, his second of the day, to extend the lead to 8-0. Johnny Jan Jr. (Germantown, MD/Northwest) pitched a gem in the start going six scoreless innings allowing just one hit.
