Wilkes improves to 14-11 overall following the non-league victory. After Baptist Bible scored one run in the top of the first, Wilkes tied the game in the bottom of the frame when James Brown (Covington, PA/North Pocono) singled to right field scoring Jarret Clymer (Bethlehem, PA/Freedom). Wilkes took its first lead of the game in the bottom of the second using two RBI doubles from Clymer and Tanner Smith (Upper Black Eddy, PA/Palisades) to go up 4-1. Another run three-run inning in the third pushed the Wilkes lead to 7-2. Joe Champi (Dupont, PA/Pittston) capped the scoring with a two-run single to left field in the frame. Joshua Slocum (Clarks Summit, PA/Abington Heights) put the game out of reach in the top of the sixth hitting a long towering grand slam with one out to put the Colonels ahead for good 13-2. A ten-run seventh inning for Wilkes capped by an Alex Kramer (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill East) three-run homer gave the Colonels a 23-2 lead with two innings left to play.
