Box Score 2 Wilkes Volleyball Drops Pair of Matches at MAC Crossover
WILLIAMSPORT, PA – The Wilkes University volleyball team dropped a pair of matches at the MAC Crossover series tri-match with Arcadia and host Lycoming on Saturday afternoon.
Wilkes moves to 8-11 overall following the two-match day.
Wilkes first fell to Arcadia 3-1 by scores of 25-18, 18-25, 25-22 and 25-18.
Jamey Mikovich (Nesquehoning, PA/Panther Valley) led the Lady Colonel attack with eight kills and 13 digs.
Grace Boyle (Andreas, PA/Marian Catholic) followed with seven kills and eight digs while
Ally Paskas (Rutherford, NJ/Rutherford) added eight kills and 12 digs.
Alexis Morgan (Walnutport, PA/Northampton) paced the passing game with 31 assists.
Lycoming then posted a 3-0 sweep in Wilkes' second match of the day by scores of 25-17, 25-13 and 25-10. Boyle topped the attack against the host Warriors with a team-high eight kills. Mikovich contributed four kills and a team-best eight digs while Morgan finished with 18 assists on Wilkes' 21 total team kills.
Wilkes returns to MAC Freedom play Tuesday when the Lady Colonels host cross-town rival King's College at 7:00 p.m. at the Marts Center.
