MOOSIC, PA – The Wilkes University men's golf team finished in seventh place at the 2017 Gino Biondi Memorial Invitational Sunday afternoon at the Glenmaura National Golf Club.
 
Wilkes finished round two with a 336 and a two-day score of 676 for seventh place. York (Pa.) captured the team title carding a 624 while Rosemont College followed in second place carding a team score of 626.
 
Alex Anderson (Bear Creek, PA/Coughlin) led all Wilkes scorers with a four-over 75 on day two and shot a combined 156 for the tournament. Corey Cowitch (Northampton, PA/Northampton Area) finished with a two-day total of 172 (87/85) while Sean McNamara (Lancaster, PA/Lancaster Catholic) also finished at 172 (85/87).
 
Chris Nixon (Swoyersville, PA/Wyoming Valley West) shot a 176 (87/89) and Michael Malshefski (Nanticoke, PA/Nanticoke) a 180 (90/90) to round out the Colonel participants.
