WILKES-BARRE – The Wilkes University men's and women's basketball teams will hit the road on Wednesday for a Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom showdown with FDU-Florham in Madison, N.J.

The Lady Colonels enter this evening's matchup with a 5-14 overall record, 0-8 in MAC Freedom play after defeating Penn State-Hazleton by a 70-66 final on Monday evening.

Wilkes is led by freshman Gianna Roberts (Nanticoke, PA/Nanticoke), who is averaging 8.3 point-per-game (PPG) and 4.6 rebounds-per-game (RPG) this season. The Lady Colonels are also led by sophomore Ashley Caster (York, PA/Spring Grove), who is averaging 8.1 ppg and 5.2 rpg, and senior Haley Mesaros (Royersford, PA/Pope John Paul II), who is averaging 7.6 ppg and 3.4 rpg.

Wilkes is averaging 60.4 ppg this season while surrendering 70.7.

FDU-Florham enters this week's matchup with a 16-3 overall record, 7-1 in MAC Freedom play after falling to Misericordia by an 86-67 final on Saturday afternoon.

The Devils are led by freshman Kendrea Williams, who is averaging 18.1 ppg and 2.8 rpg this season. FDU-Florham is also led by senior Alyssa McDounough's 15.4 ppg, 8.3 rpg, and 3.8 assists-per-game (APG) and freshman Taiah Thornton's 13.4 ppg, 3.7 rpg, and 3.8 apg.

The Devils are averaging 73.0 ppg this season while opponents are averaging 60.3 ppg.

The Colonels enter this contredy with a 9-10 overall record, 3-5 in MAC Freedom play after their 80-64 defeat at Delaware Valley on Saturday afternoon.

Wilkes is led by sophomore Marcus Robinson (Swedesboro, N.J./Kingsway Regional), who is averaging 15.9 ppg, 3.9 rpg, and 1.7 apg this season. The Colonels are also led by sophomore Connor Evans (Cicero, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse)' 11.8 ppg and 3.8 apg, and sophomore Tommy Bowen (Hummelstown, Pa./Lower Dauphin)'s 7.6 ppg, 3.6 rpg, and 1.9 apg.

The Colonels are averaging 74.2 ppg while surrendering 73.5 ppg.
