Wilkes Men's Basketball Set for 2026-27 Gameday at the Palestra
TOWSON, MD – The Wilkes University men's basketball team will make its second appearance in a Landmark Conference tradition playing at the historic Palestra during the 2026-27 season.
Wilkes will face Elizabethtown College on Sunday, January 10 at 2:30 p.m. in the second of four games at the Landmark Conference Gameday at the Palestra event. In its first time playing at the event during the 2024-25 season, the Colonels posted an 82-74 victory over the Blue Jays.

Izzi Metz. "I appreciate the Landmark Conference providing our players this opportunity to compete in one of the most historic basketball venues in the country once again," he added.
Known as the "Cathedral of College Basketball," the Palestra is celebrating its 100
th anniversary this season after opening its doors in 1927, making it the oldest major college arena still in use today. It has hosted more games, more visiting teams, and more NCAA tournaments than any other facility of its kind. It is currently home to the Philadelphia Big 5 Championship.
