Five Colonel Wrestlers Reach Quarterfinals at 86th Annual Wilkes Open
WILKES-BARRE – The Wilkes University wrestling team saw five wrestlers reach the quarterfinals of their respective weight class as the Colonels hosted the 86th annual Wilkes Open Saturday afternoon at the Marts Center.

Twenty-three wrestlers saw action at the event for Wilkes.
Brock Horton (Towanda, PA/Athens) (133), Kyle Medrow (West Chester, PA/West Chester Henderson) (141), Joshua Brown (Plains, PA/Coughlin) (149), John Ritter (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty) (157) and Austin Cominsky (Cape May Courthouse, NJ/Middle Township) (197) all reached the quarterfinals for the Colonels at the event.
The Colonels remain idle through the Christmas and New Year holiday before returning to action January 5 at the North South Duals hosted by Ursinus College.
