Wilkes Men's Tennis Completes Action at the 2019 ITA Southeast Regional
FREDERICKSBURG, VA – The Wilkes University men's tennis team completed action at the 2019 ITA Southeast Regional on Saturday with three matches at the event hosted by the University of Mary Washington.

The team of
Jack Maline (Northport, NY/Northport) and
Larry Scartz (Woodbridge, VA/Home School) competed in the semifinals of the B2 Doubles bracket in the morning, falling 8-0 to Jason Edmonds and Abhinav Nallapareddy of Haverford College. The Haverford duo ended as B2 doubles champions.
In other doubles action it was the Colonels paring of
Colin Greenman (Glen Gardner, NJ/Voorhees) and
Jolen Nortey (East Stroudsburg, PA/Evergreen) that dropped their B2 doubles consolation quarterfinal match by an 8-2 score to Paulo Emil Gonzal and Lukas Sanidas of Stevenson University.
Chris Maderitz (York, PA/Central York) lost 6-1, 6-1 in the Championship Singles consolation round of 32 to Stephen Wong of Swarthmore College.
The Colonels went 3-7 overall in their singles and doubles matches at the ITA Southeast Regional with one main draw semifinal appearance. Wilkes will return to competition next weekend on Saturday and Sunday, October 12-13 for the Middle Atlantic Conference Individual Championship at the Ralston Athletic Complex and Kirby Park courts.
