No. 4 Wilkes Women's Soccer Set for MAC Freedom Semifinal at No. 1 Stevens
WILKES-BARRE – The Wilkes University women's soccer team has earned the No. 4 seed in the 2019 Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) Championship tournament and is set to travel to No. 1 seed Stevens Institute of Technology for a 7:00 p.m. game in Hoboken, N.J. Tuesday night at the Debaun Athletic Complex.
Ticket prices set by the MAC office are $5 for adults, $4 for senior citizens, $2 for students (with ID) and children, and free for children under six years of age.

The Colonels have qualified for the conference tournament for the fifth consecutive season while Stevens has earned the top seed during their inaugural season in the MAC Freedom. Stevens, then ranked No. 23 nationally, won the regular season meeting by a 2-0 score on October 12th in Hoboken on the strength of two second half goals.

Emily Bidelspach (Myerstown, PA/ELCO) leads the Colonels with 14 points on six goals and two assists. Senior
Jessica Egan (West Long Branch, NJ/Shore Regional) has produced 13 points on five goals and three assists.
Samantha Cecere (Batavia, NY/Batavia) has a 6-7-1 record in goal for the Colonels this season with a 1.54 goals-against-average and a .686 save percentage. The senior has made 48 saves and produced three shutouts on the year.
Stevens, now ranked No. 18 in the country, enters with a 13-3-1 overall mark and a perfect 7-0-0 record through its first MAC Freedom regular season.
Senior Julia Panko leads the Ducks with 12 goals and 27 points. Those stats rank her second and third among all MAC Freedom players this season. Fellow senior Gabby Saade had 19 points on six goals and seven assists this season. Sophomore Izzy DiDario has started 13 games with a 9-2-1 record in goal for the Ducks. She has recorded four shutouts and has a 0.44 goals-against-average and a .878 save percentage while making 36 total saves.
The winner of tonight's game will advance to face the victor of the other semifinal between No. 2 Misericordia and No. 3 DeSales. The MAC Freedom Championship Final will be played on Saturday, November 9 with the winner earning the conference's NCAA automatic qualifier to the Division III Tournament.
