Finke Earns First Team All-Conference Honors/Rookie of the Year Finishing Second at MAC Freedom Championships
WIHITE HAVEN, PA –
Andrew Finke (West Milford, NJ/West Milford Twp.) finished in second place earning First Team All-MAC Freedom honors and the Wilkes University men's golf team came in sixth place at the 2019 MAC Freedom Championships Sunday afternoon at the Mountain Laurel Golf Club. Finke was also named the MAC Freedom Rookie of the Year for his performance.

Finke became the first Wilkes golfer to earn all-conference honors since
Alex Anderson (Bear Creek, PA/Coughlin) in 2017 and the first to earn first team honors since Matt Kachurak in 2015. He shot a two-over 74 in round two using birdies at 15 and 17 to finish strong on the day. Finke recorded a two-day total of 150, just two strokes behind the individual champion Nicky Marrollo of Eastern's 148.
Corey Cowitch (Northampton, PA/Northampton Area) shot an 84 in round two finishing with a two-day total of 167 for 16
th place.
Nathan Hunter (Elysburg, PA/Southern Columbia) shot eight strokes lower than his day one total finishing with an 84 in round two for 26
th place.
Austin Paisley (Sugarloaf, PA/Marian Catholic) came in 35
th place carding a 94 on day two and a total score of 189.
Teddy Marines (Harrisburg, PA/Bermudian Springs) rounded out the Colonel scorers shooting a 202, including a 101 on both rounds.
Wilkes finished with a team score of 682. Manhattanville College won the team title with a score of 634. Eastern followed in second posting a 648 team score.
