WEST WINDSOR TOWNSHIP, NJ – The Wilkes University men's tennis team opened its 2019-2020 season at the Stevens Invitational on Saturday at the Mercer County Tennis Center. Saturday consisted of singles competition at the Fall Kickoff Tournament with players from Wilkes, the host Stevens, TCNJ, Ithaca, and NYU competing.

Results

Isaac Shenton (Shippensburg, PA/James Buchanan) was the lone winner for the Colonels on day one. The junior defeated Wyman Ward of Ithaca in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4.

The Colonels will return to action tomorrow for the doubles portion of the Stevens Invitational.
