Wilkes Set to Host 2021 Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom Men's Golf Championships at Huntsville

WILKES-BARRE -- The 2021 Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) Men's Golf Championship is set to be held on April 24-25 at Huntsville Golf Club. Wilkes University will serve as the host. Both days are scheduled to begin at 12 p.m.

Spectators will be permitted at Huntsville Golf Club. Admission to the championship is free, however, spectators will need a wristband to be permitted on the course. Spectators must check in at the tournament desk to review golf course rules. All spectators must wear masks and practice appropriate social distancing at all times.

2021 MAC Freedom Championship t-shirts will only be available via online order through May 2. Championship merchandise features a teal moisture wicking long sleeve t-shirt with the championship logo on the front and all of the conference team logos on the back for $20 plus additional shipping fees.

Live scoring will be provided by BirdieFire. Both Saturday and Sunday are scheduled to begin at 12 p.m. with the final pairings teeing off at 2:06 p.m.

For the first time since 2015 there will be a new MAC Freedom team champion crowned. Former MAC Freedom member Manhattanville, who left for the Skyline Conference after the 2018-19 season, had won four-straight titles from 2016-19. King's won the team title in 2015.

Competing at this year's championship will be Arcadia, Delaware Valley, DeSales, FDU-Florham, King's, Lycoming, Misericordia, Stevens and Wilkes.

Wilkes'
Andrew Finke (West Milford, NJ/West Milford Twp.) leads the Colonels into the event after finishing second overall and First Team All-MAC Freedom at the 2019 MAC Freedom Championships held at Mountain Laurel Golf Club. Finke has been stellar on the course this season averaging a 73.5 over four rounds. His lowest score of 72 (even par) came in the season opener on March 31 against Scranton at Huntsville. Finke has been +1 twice and +5 once over his four rounds of competition this year and looks to finish in the top five of the field.
