WILKES-BARRE – The Wilkes University athletic department announced the Colonels 2023 baseball schedule Tuesday afternoon as part of a one-week series featuring schedules for all spring sports.
 
The Colonels look to take the diamond for a 40-game slate as they compete under the direction of fifth-year head coach Kevin Gryboski '95. The schedule features 24 Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) matchups and 19 contests on Bruggeworth Field.

Wilkes begin their season at home as they take on SUNY Cobleskill in a doubleheader on Saturday, February 25 that starts at 12:00 p.m. The Colonels will then go down to Fort Pierce, Florida to compete in the Spring Break Trip from March 3-9 before coming back to Bruggeworth Field to host MAC Freedom action against DeSales University on Saturday, March 11 in a doubleheader. They then travel DeSales to finish their three game series the next day.
 
Wilkes will then have four straight home games as they play Stevenson University on March 14 and New Jersey City University on March 15. They will host a MAC Freedom doubleheader against Arcadia on Saturday, March 18, then travel the next day to play the Knights on the road.
 
Wilkes will have a three-game road stretch near the end of the season as they travel to Cabrini University (4/21), Keystone College (4/24), and University of Scranton (4/25) before closing the season in a single game at home against FDU-Florham on Friday, April 28 and traveling on the road to conclude MAC Freedom action in a doubleheader against the Devils.
 
The remaining MAC Freedom contests are home against King's College (3/24), doubleheader at the Monarchs (3/25), home against Lycoming (3/28) and Misericordia (3/31), doubleheader against the Cougars (4/1) and Warriors (4/4). On the road to face Delaware Valley (4/7) while returning home to host the Aggies in a doubleheader (4/8), and traveling to Stevens Institute of Technology (4/14) where they welcome the Ducks to Bruggeworth Field the next day for a doubleheader (4/15).
 
Wilkes' other home contests are against William Paterson University on Tuesday, April 11 at 3:45 p.m and against Keystone on Monday, April 17 at 3:30 p.m.
