No. 2 Wilkes Men's Ice Hockey Set for UCHC Quarterfinals against No. 7 Neumann
 
WILKES-BARRE – The second seeded Wilkes University men's ice hockey team is set to host seventh seeded Neumann University in the United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) quarterfinals Wednesday at the Toyota SportsPlex at Coal Street Park. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.

The Colonels are ranked No. 9 in the USCHO Division III Men's Hockey poll and enters the tournament with an 18-4-1 overall record. The Colonels have out-scored opponents, 113-53 this season and boast six players with at least 20 points.
 
Donald Flynn (Randolph, NJ/) leads the team in scoring with 35 points on nine goals and 26 assists, while Tyler Barrow (Massapequa, NY/Saint Anthony's) is right behind with 34 points on 12 goals and 22 assists. Tyler Dill (South Lake Tahoe, CA/) has a team-high 14 goals, while Nick Fea (Oak Ridge, NJ/) and Phil Erickson (Eau Claire, WI/) have 12 goals each. Michael Paterson-Jones (Baldwinsville, NY/) and Nico Pidro (Cannonsburg, PA/) have combined to go 18-3-1 between the pipes. Pidro has recorded a 1.40 goals against average and a .945 save percentage.
 
Neumann's Nick Martino leads the Knights and is tied for fourth in the league in scoring with 35 points on 15 goals and 20 assists. Barry Kneedler has 26 points on 11 goals and 15 assists, while Luke Croucher has 12 goals. Kyle Pantalone has seen the majority of time in goal for Neumann, while Cal Ambrose has a 3.60 goals against average.
 
Wilkes won both regular season matchups between the two schools, 9-5 on Nov. 6 and 7-2 on home ice on Jan. 21.
