Seven Wilkes Student-Athletes Named to Landmark Fall All-Sportsmanship Team

TOWSON, MD – The Landmark Conference named 67 student-athletes to its 2023 Fall All-Sportsmanship Team, with seven Wilkes University student-athletes being recognized as announced by the conference office Tuesday afternoon.

The All-Sportsmanship Team was created by the Landmark Student-Athlete Advisory Committee in 2013. It recognizes student-athletes who epitomize the ideals of sportsmanship. They are ambassadors for the team, both on and off the field, and galvanize their teammates toward their goals. These student-athletes exhibit respect for themselves, their teammates, coaches, opponents, officials, spectators, and the greater campus community.

Each Landmark Conference team nominated one individual who embodied these ideals throughout the season to be a member of the Landmark All-Sportsmanship team. The individuals were selected by their team and coaching staff.

The seven Wilkes student-athletes named to the 2023 Fall All-Sportsmanship Team are:

Dustin Edsall (Honesdale, PA/Honesdale) – Men's Cross Country
Abby Kuppinger (Syracuse, NY/West Genesee) – Women's Cross Country
Maura Hensel (Selinsgrove, PA/Selinsgrove) – Field Hockey
Ben Contella (Wayne, NJ/Wayne Hills) – Football
Vincent Ippolito (Park Ridge, NJ/Park Ridge) – Men's Soccer
Lauren Sweeney (West Chester, PA/West Chester Rustin) – Women's Soccer
Emma Sanford (Las Vegas, NV/Arbor View) – Women's Volleyball
