Wilkes Athletic Training Staff Updates
WILKES-BARRE – Wilkes University Athletics has announced the following changes to its Athletic Training staff effective Friday, February 9
th.
Head Athletic Trainer Carl Andrews is stepping down in his role to become an athletic trainer at nearby Division II Bloomsburg University. Associate Athletic Trainer
Camille Dudinyak will take over for Andrews being promoted to Head Athletic Trainer at Wilkes.
Andrews served Wilkes student-athletes for over 20 years, joining the staff in 2004 where he worked closely with all 23 Colonel sport offerings while running the day-to-day operations of the athletic training department. Andrews saw the University's commitment to student-athletes health/well-being as the staff expanded from one athletic trainer to four over his tenure.
"Although we're saddened to see Carl move on, our athletic training staff remains dedicated in continuing to provide the highest quality healthcare our student-athletes deserve," said Dudinyak.
Dudinyak, now in her 13
th year working with Wilkes student-athletes, is no stranger to the area graduating from King's College in 2009. She earned her Master's degree from the University of South Carolina and is a certified member of the NATA and PATS, serving as a preceptor for several athletic training education programs.
"I am excited to take on this new role and look forward to leading our devoted staff through continued growth as a department and University," she added.
Along with Dudinyak, the Wilkes athletic training staff includes assistant trainer Tyler Brady and assistant trainer Jimmy Wright.
